Position Summary:

As a Diminished Value Settlement Agent, you will guide customers through the diminished value claim process, communicate with insurance companies, and work to maximize client recoveries. You will serve as a trusted advisor, combining customer service skills, negotiation abilities, and attention to detail to drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review vehicle repair reports, accident details, and valuation assessments.

  • Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary claim documentation.

  • Draft and submit diminished value demand letters to insurance companies.

  • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters on behalf of clients.

  • Keep clients informed throughout the settlement process.

  • Maintain detailed case notes and update CRM (customer management system).

  • Coordinate with internal appraisers or external valuation experts when needed.

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Property & casualty (P&C) license preferred but not required.
  • Experience in insurance claims, automotive industry, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

  • Basic understanding of vehicle appraisals, repair processes, and insurance practices (preferred, but training provided).

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not mandatory).
